The big lie
Tonight is Obama's big night to tell the nation of his master plans for the country, all of which will be a lie. He will sound like Ronald Reagun, fiscal responsibility, balanced budgets and deficit reduction, but it is all a lie as an excuse to raise taxes and spend... spend...spend. Some of us have known his real plans but there are still a fair amount of people either still fooled or in fairness are willing to support their President for the moment. I must say that over the years that has been my view, until other data is learned in the early part of a Presidency, I was quite willing to support all my Presidents. Even Clinton. Actually Clinton wasn't all bad, he had sound fiscal ideas. There is an interesting chapter in Allan Greenspan's book on Clinton and other chapters on all the Presidents he worked with. He thought Clinton very smart and understood the problem with deficits and he actually implemented sound policies. Allan Greenspan is a conservative conservative. It also helped that he had more Republicans in Congress. That lasted about 2 hours with Obama, he wasted no time showing his left wing radical agenda. He talks like a conservative, balancing the budget, decreasing the deficit but then actions speak louder than words, he acts like a 60's left radical. Which I believe he is down deep, even though too young to actually be a 60's radical, no Obama is a 21 century left wing radical. I should watch tonight but I am not sure I can take it and get aggravated and want to throw things at the TV, although I will record it so I can get Governor Jindal's response, which will be the voice of reason. The more we can get Jindal in front of the people as a real conservative, the better chance he will have in 2012. He may or may not want the job, frankly for all the money and power I wouldn't take it, but some people were born to be President, hopefully that will be Bobby Jindal.
The Fairness Doctrine revisited
There are basically basically two places to get alternative information not dispersed by the main stream media, there are some alternative magazines and newspapers but they are not timely. One is of course the internet and places like Townhall.com and the other is talk radio. The administration would like to shut both down. Funny how a President like Reagun thought the fairness doctrine, not so fair, even though repealing it would bring dissent to his ideas, Reagun had broad shoulders. Broad shoulders indeed, we all took strength and still do from Reaguns courage. To shut talk radio down it doesn't take an act of Congress as everyone thinks, it only takes a ruling from the FCC, poof .... done. Although it can be implemented by Congress and the President as well and there is certainly talk of doing such a thing. FCC more less abdicated their authority and said Congress could do it if they so choose. That was then, this is now. There is an agenda topic, I don't know which committee to discuss this very subject. So Obama takes the high ground saying he doesn't support it, but some form of it will be implemented within a year, I am guessing. I am not sure if the Internet poses an easier or harder target, we shall see. Both of these media offer a chance for regular tax paying slobs to have a say that they certainly don't get in Washington or your local government, the Internet more so than talk radio. Personally I have never been able to get through to a talk radio show, only once and they hung up on me, I still don't know why. Just another way the Obama administration will take a little bit of your freedom away, inch by inch until you realize you have no freedom.
