I have fallen off on postings, it is like a broken record, this is the worst administration since Carter and Carter was an amateur at screwing up the country by comparison. The mainstream media has become so agenda driven, although even the New York Times has become more critical of the handling of our government. The best indicator is always the Wall Street Journal, the best written paper in the country, most papers are written for 4th graders and so many people read USA today that is actually written for 2nd graders. I think the press really lost its way after Watergate and they thought they saved the country, not even close to the truth, in so many ways Nixon was misjudged and persecuted by the media for something that was commonly done in the day and probably still is for all I know, but I suspect the dems could be caught with their hand in the till and it still wouldn't be reported. Two news stories not being covered that should be, is the progress in Iraq(even though I can't find many facts, if it was going bad we would know it) and it is possible that 18 months could be enough for self sufficiency. Although the government is so fragile and Iraq is so new to democracy after thousands of years of different forms of government. I do agree with Obama's idea of strengthening forces in Afghanistan , and there is precious little that I agree with him on.
This is how I see it all tying together. The radicals from the Viet Nam era are now in charge, it isn't what the American people bargained for when they elected Obama although the signs were definitely but people were so hyped up about Change... Change... Change they wouldn't look at the facts. So here we are with the government that Karl Marx always wanted and saw this happening by the changing of a capitalistic state to one of central rule. Which does make sense or there would be no wealth to spread around, even Putan is warning Obama your going down the slippery slope to bankruptcy. It has been almost 40 years of deceit but they have finally got what they want. We will survive but it will take 10 to 20 years to recover from the first two months of this agenda driven administration. But this will be short lived, already Obama has a worse approval rating than Bush did this time in his second administration. The second thing I wish the press would cover is the Tea Party's in protest of what they and I see as taxation without representation, ergo: the calls against the Porkulus bill when it was in the Senate ran 9 to 1 against and they still did what they wanted. I understand this is a representative government but the will of the people will speak in the 2010 mid terms with a rout worse than in 1994.
Obama and company have done it, overstepped and mis interpreted the will of the people, maybe next time the American people will actually look into the candidates instead of buying the bumper stickers. Unfortunately to most of the younger people the election is like American Idol, they have no idea of the consequencies of their ignorance. Hannity on Thursdays has his man on the street. He sends someone out with a phone and they just stop anyone that will talk to them. Most are in their early 20's and have no idea who the Vice President is or any other aspect of the government and guess what, they did vote, sometime an uninformed vote is much worse than no vote at all. Acorn did a good job getting people that barely know what planet they are on to vote. Sadly these people are mostly young college students that barely can speak English and are close to illiterate. Our Educational system is in big trouble when they spend more time indoctrinating that teaching the basics so crucial to the lives of these young people so they don't become a drain on society.
All I can say is keep on talking and don't let them get you down with their ignorance, eventually it will all come out that you were right and they were wrong. There are still more people with some kind of sense than the mindless ones, at least for the moment.
Always remember freedom isn't free, somebody paid. I just finished Tempered Steel a book about James Kasler an Air Force pilot that served in 3 wars WWII, Korea and Viet Nam and also was a prisoner of war for 7 years where he was tortured daily. Our young people have no idea how much was given so they can have the freedom to text their friend.
