Yesterday on Hannity, Bobby Jindal was scheduled to be on, I assume he was, but Hannity does this to me all the time, says someone is going to be on straight ahead and an hour later your still waiting, unfortunately he was still saying that at when I turned the radio off so I didn't get to hear him. I like him, he didn't have a very good showing during his first prime time appearance but I don't think it is fatal, McCain didn't get too far in 2000 either. He is a good solid conservative and if at all possible I would like to see him in the white house, unlike our present guy, he has actually accomplished something and doesn't just talk like Ronald Regain like Obama but actually does it.
Romney, I still haven't figured out. I am not sure if he acted more liberal than Ted Kennedy during those debates to get elected in a liberal state and would have done the opposite of Obama or otherwise. I like what has become his public image, but that is all image, how can one figure out how they will govern given the chance? Having said that he is light years better than Obama, that isn't saying much, my dog if I had one could do a better job than Obama. I think Romney is still in campaign mode and you will see him again in the 2012 campaign.
Rudy is just too New York for the rest of the country, although he did a terrific job in New York City, you have to look at electability and I just don't think he is electable.
Huckabee, just not my favorite, although I agree with a lot of his ideas, certainly better than any Dem candidate they can muster, if things continue, I don't think Obama will even get the nomination. In which case he will do a Hugo Chavez and just refuse to step down, don't hear much about Hondoras, must mean they are doing well or the media would be all over it. Frankly there is just something creepy about Huckabee.
Sarah Palin of course has to be considered, she is actually neck and neck with Jindal for me but I didn't think the NewsMax survey showed her very well if you really look at it. What worries me is this was pretty much a Republican survey with 81% of the participants voting for McCain/Palin so I would expect her general approval to be high but if you read between the lines you will see she has 3% lest support from the 81% who voted for McCain, this doesn't look good to me, especially when most thought as I do that McCain was a perfectly horrible candidate. This all could change to Palin's advantage but I doubt it, what you see is what you get with Palin, you either like her or you don't.
1) What is your opinion of Sarah Palin?
Favorable: 83 percent
Unfavorable: 17 percent
2) Do you believe Sarah Palin as a running mate helped or hurt John McCain?
Helped: 80 percent
Hurt: 20 percent
3) In the election between McCain-Palin and Obama-Biden, who did you vote for?
McCain-Palin: 81 percent
Obama-Biden: 16 percent
Other: 3 percent
4) Would you support Sarah Palin as the Republican nominee for president in 2012?
Yes: 78 percent
No: 22 percent
5) Do you believe McCain did a good job running for president?
Good Job: 31 percent
Bad Job: 69 percent
6) Do you believe Barack Obama "bought" the White House by outspending McCain?
Yes: 72 percent
No: 28 percent
There is no doubt in my mind that the 2010 midterms are going to be a bloodbath and the good guys will win the day, that is good conservative candidates will pick up seats, not Snow's or Collin's but good ones and it just might be possible to take back one or both houses by 2012, it really is one of our best hopes to get things turned around. A good candidate for President that doesn't mind taking the gloves off and hitting hard can win the White House no matter who they run, this communists thing just isn't working and there is time to catch it, but little time.
